East End Clean Up Day 2010

2010 East End Clean Up Day,Saturday, April 10, was a big success! We thank our many volunteers-over 200!!-for contributing to a great effort: Council Member Ed Gonzalez and staff, Keep Houston Beautiful, Walgreens on Wayside, SER Jobs for Progress, Open Door Mission, TSU's Brighter Light Masonic group, Virginia Hancock and Friends of Lunnon Cemetery, Jessica Hulsey and the Second Ward Super Neighborhood, Idylwood residents, Country Club Estates residents, HCC Early College High School, UH Academic Achievers, METRO, Crime Stoppers, Moca Sisters, MacArthur National Honor Society, FM 2711 Restaurant, Immaculate Heart of Mary Cub Scout Pack 7, the Japhet Creek Association, East End Chamber of Commerce.
Over 90 cubic yards of trash, plastic, and debris was collected!
