Public Art on East End Bus Shelters

The Greater East End District and METRO are partners in Public Art on Bus Shelters, a project that enhances bus shelters in the East End with colorful artwork created by local public school students and artists. METRO provided the panels for the bus shelters as well as the funding for the paint, supplies and educational materials for the development of the artwork. A grant from the Clorox Foundation provided funds to enhance and encourage art education in East End schools. The district adopted the shelters to protect and preserve the art.
