East End Forum
Placemaking: Creating a Community of the FutureFred Kent, president of Project for Public Spaces, captivated a crowd of 250 East End advocates and friends with his presentation at the January 14 GEEMD East End Forum, "It Takes Great Places to Make Great Cities".
Following the presentation, a smaller group of stakeholders attended Mr. Kent's workshop, took a walking tour of Navigation Blvd and Guadalupe Plaza Park, and played the Placemaking Game where they identified opportunities to create a strong community place in the East End.
