Crime Prevention Seminars for East End Business Owners
Keeping Your Business and Property Safe!
The District hosted its second crime prevention seminar for business owners on June 3 at the Ripley House with Harris County Constable Victor Trevino, HPD Chief John Trevino, HPD Captain Bruce Williams, and HPD officer Joe Sanchez contributing important information for convenience store owners.
Statistics indicate that violent crime is down 10.9% and non-violent crime is down 12.8% in the East End. Chief Trevino emphasized three significant steps to reduce crime in convenience stores by nearly 80%:
(1)Keep store windows clear
(2)Train employees
(3)Control cash with consistent procedures in place
HPD produced a training video of this information in several languages, which is available at the District offices, 3211 Harrisburg. Click the link at the left to read Robbery Prevention for Businesses.
