Paz de las Americas : Peace to the Americas

GEEMD and The Orange Show dedicated a new mosaic mural , Paz de las Americas, Peace to the Americas, at Simon Men's Wear on Wednesday, May 12. Joining the first mural on Simon's wall, No Olvides Tus Raices, Don't Forget Your Roots, the new mural is the work of Chavez High School students with support and instruction by local artist GONZO247. The Orange Show's sponsor partners are Shell Oil Corporation, Texas Commission on the Arts, Houston Arts Alliance, and Dal-Tile Corporation. Houston City Council Member Sue Lovell was on hand to dedicate the mural and pay tribute to the history and culture that inspired the mural.
