COH Solid Waste

The City of Houston’s Department of Solid Waste Management (SWMD) partners with the District by assisting us in removing collected trash from illegal dump sites. The District conducts regular clean-ups of problem dumpsite areas, with SWMD providing 40-cubic yard dumpsters for collection and disposal of all trash collected. SWMD is an important participant in East End Clean Up Day, providing the labor and resources to move tons of trash out of the East End annually.
