It was “Shovels for Everyone” at the September 29, 2011, groundbreaking event for new sidewalk construction on Sampson and York streets.
Thank you to East End community, the Ripley Pre-School students, our elected officials, and the FTA Ft. Worth regional team for helping us celebrate the start of a project that will improve access and safety on these important connector streets.
Sidewalk construction on Sampson and York was completed summer 2012. Below are photos of pavers, ramps, street names, and shade trees. Pedestrian-level solar lighting, illustrated in the attachment to the left, will be install in late 2012.
