The Greater East End Management District is conducting an Alternatives Analysis study to examine an urban circulator to link the East End community with the METRORail East End line and various destinations in the area, as well as strengthen community businesses with improved access and mobility. HDR Engineering, Inc. has been contracted along with Knudson LP and The Goodman Corporation to provide the technical analysis of the study. Over the course of the next few months the study team will examine possible routes for a circulator service and the areas to be served, including the type of vehicles, such as vintage streetcars, modern streetcars, or bus trolleys.
The study will provide opportunities for public input through stakeholder sessions, this web site, and public meetings at major points in the study. Attached, to the left, is an preliminary schedule for the study. Continue to monitor this web page for more information as the study progresses.
